Escape from reality and surround yourself with Wisconsin’s outdoor paradise

Escape from reality and surround yourself with Wisconsin’s outdoor paradise

We mean it.

Each year new research comes out that tells us that we NEED to take a vacation at least once a year, but do we? The answer is hardly ever. The ability to remove yourself from the constant distractions and noise can rekindle a relationship, bring the family together, and clear the mind. Enjoy Wisconsin’s lakes, wildlife, open skies, and warm gatherings.

Waupaca is located in the heart of Central Wisconsin. This area is known for it’s incredible scenery that sparks the creativity for many local artists. Come here and see for yourself what makes this area unique. The dense woods provide refuge to many of central Wisconsin’s wildlife.

There are 22 spring fed, clear lakes for all of your recreational enjoyment. Sail across the miles of interconnected lakes and see why many make this area their home.

Waupaca Chain of Lakes

At the lakefront cabin, enjoy your private dock, beach and yard while you slip into the waters of Long Lake. This pristine lake has over 22 miles of shoreline. Take your boat out for fishing and skiing. You will find walleye, crappie, bluegill, sunfish and more.

This 2 bedroom cottage hides itself in a dense section of woods, allowing maximum privacy. Relax by the lakeside fire pit or bring the family together for an evening meal by the outdoor grill.

Each year the artists are the celebrity here. Each spring there is the Waupaca Art Show that features 40 artists, all creative geniuses with pottery, music, jewelry making, paint, and more. Seasonally there are also band concerts, garden tours, cruises on the lake, a blues festival and strawberry festival. Enjoy golfing one of the 5 area golf courses. For added luxury and a little couple’s treatment, enjoy the hot springs spa outdoors or one of the area’s fine salons or spas.

New Incredible #Fall Color Drives for #Wisconsin

Some love Wisconsin for its terrific weather in the summer, some come for the winter sports. What a lot of people don’t know, is throughout the last few years, as the temperatures decreased slightly and the amount of sunshine increasing, the fall colors that hug the winding roads up north are incredible and the fishing even better than summer (some would say).  Here are a list of fantastic fall drives:

wildcat mountain

Manitowish Waters: While coming in September for the annual Northwoods Art Tour could be an incentive to visit for several days, it is actually the fall colors that are celebrated. You may admire the fall colors by car, bike or foot, but any way you look at them, take in the sheer beauty that compliments the calm waters of the Manitowish Waters. Explore one of the 5 routes or do them all. Highlight include the Cranberry Marshes, the scenic Powell Marsh Wildlife Area, Wa-Swa-Goning, a replicated Indian village, and the most scenic of them all, County Highway B and Lake of the Falls. Fall fishing is at its peak do be sure to dip your line into one of the thousands of lakes in Vilas County. To view cabins or vacation rentals in this area to make your fall trip complete, click here.

Necedah/Castle Rock Lake: This serene landscape is a must see for fall travelers in autumn. Not only does this area boast many types of hardwood trees that create a stunning topography, this area also has lots to do for your fall trip. Take the winding roads starting in Mauston and head towards highway G that weaves you throughout the countryside and ending in Castle Rock Lake, one of the biggest inland lakes in Wisconsin. Fall fishing is a great pasttime around here as well as the unique shops and restaurants. Necedah Fall Cabins

Wildcat Mountain: This area can be experienced by canoe, horse, hiking boots, or car. This ridge overlooking the Wildcat State Mountain stretches over 3,000 square miles with the Kickapoo River flows slowly in all kinds of castle rock lake widirections. Highway 33 takes a visitor throughout great country with a diverse landscape and incredible fall color. Be sure to bring your canoe and hiking boots. To make this a fall getaway, click here.

Our stay at the Lake House was extremely peaceful and serene. The house and property exceeded our expectations. We launched boats, fished and cooked out right on the property.
